Beitostølen

Having Jotunheimen National Park as the closest neighbour, Beitostølen is a splendid starting point to a vast and magic world of mountains. Only three hours away from Oslo, a breathtaking landscape appears. We find some of the highest mountains in Norway in this national park. For example Galdhøpiggen – which is the highest mountain in Scandinavia – with its majestic 2469 meters above sea level. Alternative ways of travelling are by luxurious buses – the Valdres Express – having five daily departures from Oslo. You can also travel by plane from Gardermoen Airport to Fagernes Airport, a flight of 20 minutes. From Bergen you can reach Beitostølen in 4 hours.

Summer; Winter;
In Beitostølen you’ll find something to everybody’s liking. Every summer there are over 30.000 tourists hiking over the Besseggen – a fantastic experience – but not recommended for those with fear of heights. If you prefer a more quiet activity, we recommend a boat trip on the lake of Bygdin – certainly a very popular alternative. Jotunheimen National Park is so enormous that you can enjoy the solitude, peace and quiet, or you can explore the mountain plateaus or conquer the summits, there sure are plenty of them. This wide range of activities can be included in a stay on Beito.
We guarantee that it will be an unforgettable experience when the CEO has to be assisted by the trainee up the steep mountain hills. Physically exhausted and with fresh air in the lungs, you’ll be very well prepared for a session in the conference room. Photos
The snow comes early to Beitostølen and the season last from the middle of November until April. The alpine centers lies within walking distance from the hotels and Beitostølen is a fantastic place for those who enjoys cross-country skiing. You can choose ski tracks that are compatible with your own level of fitness. The whole of Europe’s cross-country elite practises here every year, so we are certain that the tracks are of the highest quality in Norway.
