Geilo

Between Bergen and Oslo lies the valley which has skiing centers on both sides, and the town center right in the middle. 800 meters above sea level, we can almost guarantee a lot of wonderful powdery snow - wherever you go. The alpine tracks are as long as 28 km, and here you'll find Norway's first permanent Superpipe with Olympic standard.

Geilo has long traditions for ski tourism, and has earned its reputation as a winter resort that is quite unusual from all the others. The place is also rich in historical traditions; you'll find Viking graves, traditional painting and rustic housing.
Travelling by bus from Oslo you'll reach Geilo in 5 hours and by train only in 3,5 hours. Geilo offers a great range of hotels and bed and breakfasts.

"Gateway to the Fjords" - From Geilo you can in 2-3 hours travel to the most beautiful part of Sognefjorden. By combinating the National State Railways (NSB) - Flåmsbanen and the ferryboats, you can enjoy a roundtrip in the majestic Norwegian nature.

You can choose among 220 km prepared skitracks - running through the amazing forrest or up the hills with a fantastic view.
